Custom Apex ILF

Unlike traditional stick-bows, ILF risers are designed with an adjustable tiller that can be easily modified to 3 under, split finger, or fixed crawl to answer the demands of any given shot. Additionally, Apex risers are built with a 3-5-pound range of adjustable draw weight – controlled by the position of the tiller bolts and lateral limb adjustment screws – allowing shooters to fine-tune their bow to the precise specifications they desire, rather than having to adjust their mechanics to suit the bow.

Lacking a standardized system across the industry for measuring the draw weight of ILF limbs, Apex limbs are measured at their medium weight (with tiller bolts extracted two full turns) – for example a set of 50-pound limbs ranges from approximately 48-52 pounds. Keep in mind that as the length of the riser increases the corresponding weight of the limbs will decrease and vice versa, while the weight of a set of limbs can also vary somewhat when paired with a competitor’s riser of equal length if the angle of the limb pads differs.

Providing all the same features of a metal ILF bow, the Apex was designed without sacrificing any of the careful craftsmanship or unique options – including our entire wood selection, mosaic accent stripes, footed limbs, antler overlays, and several more – that distinguish our existing models. In order to achieve a more desirable appearance, the Apex was designed with pockets in the riser to conceal the limb butts, and all ILF dovetail hardware, lateral limb adjustment screws, and tiller locking bolts hidden within the riser. Weighing minimal functionality against greater aesthetic impact, the Apex is also designed without the obtrusive button-head screw found protruding from other ILF limbs. All factors considered, the Apex is without a doubt the most attractive ILF on the market.
